Single acull races may be added' to the programme of the Intercollegiate Rowing association In the races at Poughkeopslo next yoar. The matter will come up at the annual meeting of the assocltlon soon to be held and the addition to the card of events will be endorsed by Ellas Ward of Pennsylvania: Penn-sylvania: James A. Ten Eyck of Syracuse, Syra-cuse, apd James C. Rice of Columbia. In the early association races single, sculling evcnt3 were held, and afforded additional Interest In the regatta, but later la-ter these events wero omitted. Kresh interest In rowing seems to have led the coacheH to the belief that tho singles could now be revived. It Is also possible, possi-ble, say the optimists, that tfie octuple and quadruple events could bo added. |
