There will be two sections to tho Eastern Bowling Lengue this year instead of one, as was tho case last seifson. At a moetiug of the franchise holders in Trenton, this course was decided upon. It was considered con-sidered that the trip for the Now York and Brooklyn teams to Baltimore and vice vorsa "was far too long, aud thut tho Icnguc conducted on these lines would not bo a paying venture. Tn the northern section will be "Brooklyn, "Brook-lyn, New York, Newark and Trenton, whilo Philadelphia, Wilmington, Baltimore Balti-more and Rending will comprise the southern division. "Reading is a newcomer new-comer in bowling circles, as far as relations rela-tions with other eastern cities are concerned. con-cerned. The schedules will .be so arranged ar-ranged that eacli team will visit eacli city twice, the winners of the two sections sec-tions deciding the championship on the home and homo basis. Leo R. Jones of Newark was elected president, of tho whole league. The following fol-lowing were chosen officers of the northern division: John F. Canuuann, New York, vice-president. Charles Het-zel, Het-zel, Trenton, secretary, nnd Herman Elder, Brooklyn, treasurer. Of tho southern division, Charles MelTnrland, Wilmington, is vice-president; If. J. Borgntan, .lr., Philadelphia, secretary, and C. S. Bradley. Baltimore, treasurer. Tito loaguo schedule will open on Monday, October-7, when tho New York team will roll on tho Universal alleys iu Brooklyn.
