Cannnl Ville. a town of throo hundred Inhabitants, Inhabi-tants, eight miles south of this city, was almost wiped off the may by a flood today. to-day. Nearly all tho lnhalbtants aro employed em-ployed In several mines In tho vicinity. During tho noon hour a cloudburst oc-'currcd oc-'currcd a mile abovo tho village and In a short time a raging torrent made its way down tho narrow valley, completely inundating tho village. Dwellings were washed from their foundations and tho Inhabitants had barely tlmo to escape to tho hills. No lives have been reported lost. Tho property loss will be largo.
