OCR Text	Show AVAR IN ECUADOR Military Branches of Guayquil Attacked by Aroicd'Revolutionists. GUAYQUIL, Ecuador, July 19. Tho four military barracks in this city were attacked simultaneously just before daybreak- this morning by groups of armed revolutionists, who called themselves Independents. In-dependents. Tho fighting lasted for one hour. Tho Independents were finally dc-foated, dc-foated, several of their number being killed or wounded. Tho local residence of President Alfnro also was attacked. The revolutionaries purposed to kill the President, but he succeeded in coming out of the conflict uninjured, Guayaquil has been placed under martial mar-tial law. '
