Show ORCHARD CANNOT ESCAPE. So Says Attorney Eagley of Salt Lake in New York Interview. NEW YORK, July 19. "There is just ono thing absolutoly certain about the Haywood case," said John A. Bagley of Salt Lako City, Attorney-General of Idaho Ida-ho In 1902-1, who is in this city, "and that is, no matter what may happen to Haywood and his associates in the miners' min-ers' association, Harry Orchard, tho self-confessed self-confessed assassin of Governor Steunenberg, Steunen-berg, will be hanged. "Orchard has not been promised immunity im-munity in Idaho, and even if ho were extended ex-tended executive clemency, he has confessed con-fessed to thirteen murders outside the State, of which he could bo convicted, and from punishment for which Idaho could not absolve him. "How the Haywood trial will end no one knows. All the people want and in this they aro a unit is that exact Justice be done." |
