HICKS'S SHORTAGE. ' Wyoming Examiner rinds tho County Treasurer Delincruont $1662. Special to Tho Tribune LARAMIE, Wyo., July 19. State Examiner Henderson this afternoon completed tho examination of tho books of W. L. Hicks, former County Treasurer, Treas-urer, finding tho total shortage to be $1062. Hicks, when the first discovery discov-ery was mado, mortgaged his homo for .'rlOOO, and placed that in the hands of a Stato examiner, nnd today his friends p,nid iho balance duo, tho examiner ex-aminer giving him a receipt. It is not known whether Hicks will be prosecuted, prose-cuted, tho officers and County Commissioners Com-missioners being disinclined now tho shortago has been made good, to place tho man undor arrest. The amount of monoy disbursed here today for tho June payroll of local employees em-ployees was nearly $50,000, a larger amount than for several years. This includes all the departments ' here, shops, rolling mills, telegraph office, tie plant, trainmen, enginemen, sand pits and trackmen.
