Show LITTLE FLUCTUATION II PKS OF WHEAT Almost Unprecedented Steadiness Steadi-ness Characterizes the Grain Market. CHICAGO, Sept. 23. Almost unprecedented unprece-dented steadiness characterized prices on tho Board of Trade, opposing Influences neutralizing each other. Wheat finished nt precisely the final figures of yesterday. Corn, oats and provisions were also In nearly perfect equilibrium. Quotations for each at tho closo showed practically no change. In tho wheat market fluctuations In prices of all deliveries were confined In a range of ?c. Tho volume of trading was extremely small. Weather In the Northwest North-west was again favorable for the movement move-ment of tho new crop. Evidence of this was found In the liberal arrivals at Minneapolis Min-neapolis and Duluth. Receipts today at these two polnta totalled 1(US cars, against 013 cars the corresponding day a year ago. Higher prices at Liverpool, however, acted as an ofTset to the heavy receipts In tho Northwest. A leading bull was 0 moderate buyer of wheat here throughout through-out the entire session. Tho support from this source tended to check selling which would apparently havo otherwise been a natural consequence of the free movement of tho new crop. The continued excellent demand for cash wheat at all grain centers helped to minimize the Importanco of tho liberal receipts as a bearish factor. Opening quotations quo-tations on December were unchanged to c lower at 5 to 5Vc, and tho highest point renched during the day was SSic. The market closed steady with December at 5Vic Trading in corn waa atllve and notwithstanding notwith-standing the exceptionally favorable weather for the muturlng of the crop, tho market was strong, more especially the May delivery.
