Lawrence Law-rence Is Incorporating his leaso and bond on the Jupiter group of claims in Thaynes canyon and will push development develop-ment work on tho claims during tho coming com-ing winter. Already there Is a tlno showing show-ing in the Jupiter tunnel and tho local parties interested in the property are very enthusiastic over it, Tho claims Join those of tho Comstock and the old Apex companies. The latter group is now owned by the Kcarns-Kclth Mining company com-pany and has produced many tons of valuablo ore. It Is Impossible at this writing to confirm con-firm tho rumor of an extensive strike at tho New York, but thero Is no question that the mine Is looking bettor than it has for some weeks past. There has been dnily Improvement In tho drifts on the lower levels and ore is being taken out In such quantities that the management lias decided that an assessment Is not necessary to carry on the work it has laid out.
