Show MADE NEW DISCOVERY. Rich Silver Oro Opened Up in Jefferson Jeffer-son Canyon Fissure. Samples of oro and a letter received by George Ross tell tho story of another rich discovery In tho ledges of Nevada, assays that wero made at his solicitation certifying certify-ing to as much as 2C7 ounces silver, with fS gold per ton. The discovery, according accord-ing to a letter to Mr. Ross from J. W. Gough, was mado by an aged minor in Jefferson canyon and at a point about twenty-five miles south of Austin. Without With-out aid whatever tho owner of the location loca-tion began sinking on a small llssuro containing con-taining ore of fine quality and at a depth of seventy feet thero is now exposed four feet of the class from which tho samples wero forwnrded. Mr. Gough. who learned of the discovery by the old gentleman, sought his camp. Thero ho found tho owner undertaking to recover tho metals with an arastra and piling it up preparatory prepara-tory to shipment. So favorably did It bond on tho discovery and reporting to Mr. Ross, who has been Identified with the diggings for so long a time. Tho latter will leave to make nn examination of it appeal to Mr. Gough that ho secured a tho present week. |
