In the list of delegates chosen, It Is easy to see that the best elements of the city, in substantial standing, In brawn, In brain, were drawn upon to fill tho delegations from the various election districts. It is a list of six hundred hun-dred of tho city's best In every quality of desirable citizenship. Ability, enterprise, en-terprise, and patriotic loyalty to the city, to the State, to the Nation, are tho distinguishing characteristics of the delegates, both personally and in the mass. It was a splendid opening for the campaign, one that Is certain to give warm encouragement to those who havo at heart tho redemption of this city from the arbitrary rule of a greedy and corrupt hierarchy. And now, with tho work so well begun, be-gun, let us make conspicuously fit nominations, nom-inations, and press on to victory at the polls on tho 7th day of November next. |
