Tho pigskin followers of the All Hallows Hal-lows college havo been struck In a very tender spot with a bad caso of football enthusiasm during tho last week. The school of "blue and white" is ambitious of some of the many football honors that are lloatlng around and Is now putting forth great efforts to havo a successful bunch of grldlronlsts In the arona of 1905. For the last eight years All Hallows has had a team that has been able to do some good work in football and has bcon a strong contestant In the annual high school ieaguo. but It has not as yet reached the winning point. Some Now Heavyweights. This year a long list of heavy-weights arc entered In the school, and those, with llvo of last year's best men, ought to mako a strong and fact cloven, Coach Fred Bassett has hla hopes strung up to a high pitch over tho outlook, and says that ho Is going to develop a winning team or "bust." The school has the spirit nnd will back Baosott and tho team In anything they attempt. The manager of tho team has been doing do-ing the preliminaries to tho arranging of aschcdulc of games and says that ho will havo quite a long list. The first Is to be with the Collegiate Institute, about the 14th of October. Ogden and Salt Lake High schools will bo on the list for threo games each. Tho members of the team have been doing hnrd practicing during the week, and havo developed good form, both In formations and In tackling. Who Compose the Team. The men of last year who will bo seen again on tho A. H. C. gridiron aro Splcer, tho largo guard, who figured In a number of games last season; Savage, who distinguished dis-tinguished himself at half-back; Gallagher Gal-lagher and Hayes, who played ends, and Qulnn, In the capacity of quarter-back. A number of others from the teams of '03 and '01, Including the Grldley brothers and J, Owens, have registered In tho achool, but have not shown up yet. If they all come Bassett's Joy will bo supreme, su-preme, for ho thinks that with these men In their old positions and the now heavyweights' heavy-weights' on the line he can make a winning win-ning loam.
