Show Altar in the All Hallows Chapel Altar Donated to All H"Hows by Mrs. WiMiota Birns of Atlanta The altar In tbo chapel at All Hallows Hal-lows college has been practically completed com-pleted and will be consecrated In the near future. It was donated to All Hallows by Mrs. William Burns of Atlanta, At-lanta, Ga. a friend of Father Gulnan. It if of Carrara marble supported by 1 nvx oiMiniis vviih Lu t. !. Below the statue of the virgin Is one of the Sacred Heart, and Immediately to the right of the altar al-tar Is a statue 'of the Blessed Peter Chanel, a prlct of the Society of Mary mi tnd i i I i faith on the island of Futuna, atui ti.u-: jiars ugo, and beautified by Pop - Leo XIII. The dome over the altar Is of bronze -surmounted by a gold cross. It affords af-fords great opportunity for Iloral decorations. deco-rations. It ls In the Romanesque style. The sanctuary lamp Is ln harmony with the altar. |
