Show Eallroad Notes. Messrs. Schumacher and Burly were in Chicago yesterday. Fishing on the Wood river and Upper Up-per Snake Is reported fine and many are making trips to those waters. Matt Rhodes, a former well-known railroad man, Is again In the city. He has for some time been on the Idaho division. Mr. Rhodes was formerly on the local police force. "As far as the Rock Island Is concerned," con-cerned," said General Agent Oglesby of that line yesterday, "business for the past year has been very satisfactory. Wool was moving all spring In good shape and now we are looking for a good movement of sheep." "Utah Is all right," was the answer of J. A. There is nothing to the story that the traffic ofllces on the Gould roads are to be again segregated. Mr. Bird Is going to work out the matter in his own way, which will Include the cutting off of all heads classed among the knockers and payroll bcneilclaries who talk out of school. Vice-Presidont Schlacka and party came In again last night after a day on some of the branch lines. Mr. Schlacks Is quite well pleased with the condition of affairs on tho line. |
