Black Is drafting an ordlnanco for tho creation of the office of Inspector of elevators. ele-vators. It will be the duty of tho Chief of tho Flro dopartment to inspect in-spect all elevators In tho buildings of the city and see that they aro kept In eafo nnd proper condition. The ordinance shall also specify that lights must bo burning In tho cages when Jn use, night or day, nnd that an operator opera-tor cannot leave the cage except when relieved.
