Show THOMAS NOLAN IS GIVEN THREE MONTHS For attempting to pass drugs to the-inmatea the-inmatea of the State prison Thomas Nolan, No-lan, recently rl.-ased from the penitentiary, peniten-tiary, will serve a term of three months in the county Jail. Thl3 Is the sentence passed upon Nolan Injustice In-justice J. A, Rockwcod of Sugar before whom the defendant was tried and convicted con-victed on "Wednesday. The case was prosecuted by Assistant County Attorney Attor-ney Whltaker. Nolan, when captured, had on his person live packages of opium. Dispelling all presumption of innocence in-nocence as to the defendant's intentions inten-tions with the poison was a note in one of the opium packages to a convict named Carroll, at present confined in the State prluon. The note was short, merely stating that the writ or had seen Smith, a released prisoner, down town, and that "I only got i3,i." |
