Show FRENCH CABINET IN DANGER QF COLLAPSE Recent Parliamentary Reverses .Have Brought It to a Critical Stage and Crisis Is Imminent. PARIS, March 19. The situation of. Premier Combes'o Ministry is gradually gradu-ally becoming precarious as a result of Its recent parliamentary reverses. It Is not considered that an Imminent crisis will occur, but even the beat Informed In-formed Government quarters describe the Ministry as gradually crumbling away. Some of the recent majorities have been below the traditional twenty, which Is the limit of safety. The gradual sapping of M. Combes's strength Is not due to the pending law suppressing all forms of congregational congregation-al teaching, as his majorities have been steadily maintained on that question, but the difficulties aro mainly due to Socialist measures for worklngmen's pensions and employment agencies. It Is said he will be ablo to pass tho law of congregations about Easter, and with this principal work accomplished It Is not expectod that he will wish to remain in office. Tho names of MM. Miller and Etlenne are the most often mentioned In connection with the possible possi-ble organization of the Ministry. There Is little doubt that Foreign Minister Min-ister Delcasse will remain, as he Is considered con-sidered to bo the strong man of tho Parliament, and his recent treaty achievements are regarded as placing him among the first statesmen of contemporary con-temporary Franco. |
