Show MEDICAL SOCIETY ELECTION Dr J C E King Unanimously Chosen for President The Medical society met last night at the city and county building and elected elect-ed officers for the ensuing year by unanimous votes in all cases Dr T C E King was unanimously elected president to succeed Dr Ira D Lyon M W Whitney was mn vicepresi dent A A Kerr secretary succeeding Dr Stewart and Dr A f Behle was reelected treasurer The smoker which had been scheduled for the 23rd was changed to the 13th of January which marks the next meeting of the medicos The society has met during the past year at sixteen regular meetings and three specials F II Haley was admitted ad-mitted to membership last night and the application of C F Pinkerton was referred to the committee Treasurer Behlp read his report for the past year which showed that 523142 had been received re-ceived by the society and 11215 paid out leaving f surplus In tho treasury of S9 27 Secretary Stewart read his final report which showed sixtyfive members In good standing During the year three members died thie6 wore admitted and three applications are on hand A committee of three Drs lies mer Root and Whitney was appointed to look up the bylaws and constitution constitu-tion of the American Medical association associa-tion and to draw Up bylaws and constitution con-stitution to conform with them in place of the present which are at variance with those of the A M A By making these changes the State and county societies so-cieties may become a part of the national na-tional society Drs Whitney and Stewart reported Interesting cases which were discussed I by the members present |
