ARRANGING BIG RAGE n Boralnm ndTlo Abbot to Go for Immense Purse New York March 19ohn J Scan nell owner of the horse The Abbot sid today that he had authorized his manager to make arrangements with Thomas W Lawson of Boston to match Lawsons horse Boralma with The Abbot Ab-bot Mr iicannell said his manager had been authorized to make the terms satisfactory to both parties as far as he could but to make the race Mr Scannell said he still thought the receipts paid by the public to seethe see-the race should go to some charity that onehalf at least should go to New York and not 1 to any one city Mr Lawson said that he would guarantee guar-antee tho receipts to be 525000 and Mr Scannell said he would raise that 525000 more If Mr Lawson would accede to his terms about the charity bequcstn Mr Scannell said that the race could either be for 25000 or 550000 a side
