| Show I PENLTbNTURY PHYSICIAN DR A C YOUNG APPOINTED BY THE COMMISSIONERS The Salary Fixed at Six Hundred Dollars Year Duties of the Ihysician The board of prison commissioners met in the governors office yesterday afternoon and appointed I > r Albert C Young physician at the penitentiary The salary was fixed at 50 per month for which amount the rules require that I a professional visit to the prison every second day at least shall be made The board also made an extra allowance I allow-ance of 25 per month for medicines I Dr Young is well known both socially I so-cially and professionally He was born in this city in 1858 and is a son of ciy I Apostle Brigham Young He graduated gradu-ated from the Dartmouth college medical med-ical school and subsequently to the course at the post graduate college in New York City Dr Youngs examination ex-amination before the medical board for a license in this state was said to be one of the most creditable in the experience of the board Though a young man the doctor has built up a large private practice and his appointment appoint-ment to the present position will be received with general satisfaction I |
