Show AT SPANISH FORK Annual Commencement Exercises of Utah County Schools Spanish Fork June 5The annual commencement exercises of the Utah county public schools were held here today In the large pavilion About 100 graduates from all over the county were present accompanied by teachers and visiting friends At 1030 a m the pavilion was comfortably com-fortably filled and the meeting called to order by Professor Joseph A Rees After the invocation by the chaplain a magnificent programme was rendered ren-dered which consisted of music by Miss Chambers words of welcome by Principal Prin-cipal Joseph A Rees of Spanish Fork which i was to have been responded toby to-by County Superintendent D H Chris I tensen but as he was summoned to the sick bed of his father the response was given by Principal G N Child of Lehi The various schools were represented with orations essays and addresses interspersed with songs duets and instrumental in-strumental music followed by the presentation pres-entation of diplomas by State Superintendent Superin-tendent of Public Instruction Dr John R Park and an address to the graduates gradu-ates by Professor G H Brimhatl of the B Y academy At 2 p m 150 graduates and visitors acre banqueted at the city park The day was a very enjoyable one and terminated with a grand ball in the evening |
