Show HIS DUAFT RETURNED Frank li aicllrau Prosecuted by Fritz Kiepcn I Frank B Mcllran a traveling man I with headquarters in this city was I arrested yesterday by Deputy Marshal Cannon on the charge of obtaining money i j under false pretenses Fritz Eiepen was i I the complaining witness and he alleged j that he cashed a draft on n Chicago bank lor Mcllran on Nov 3 and that the said draft was protested on account of a lack I of funds in the bank to Mcllrans credit I It appears that Mcllran a few days prior Ito I I-to the date upon which Eiepen cashed the draft for him had sent quite a sum of money into his house a portion of which Vas to be placed to his credit The firm I had failed to so credit it however before the draft reached the bank Mcllran was taken before Commissioner Greenman where he paid a portion of the money and pave bond for the paynent of thebalance He also gave bond for is appearance next Tuesday Jtfs stated hat his firm has been heard from and that V ey allege that ifclfran was net responsible for the lack of funds WHU which to meet his draft |
