Show NEBRASKAS DEADLOCK BROKEN The Compromise Ho wove r Leaves the Situation Still a Complicated Ono LINCOLN Neb Jan 6The deadlock in the senate was broken this morning by the election of Carroll Republican as president four of the five Democrats voting vot-ing for him The antimonopoly senators sena-tors voted with the combine on a promise that they would be given control of the railroad and other leading committees They stipulated however that in case the combine failed to carry out the promises prom-ises they would join the Independents when it came to the election of United States senator so the situation remains almost as complicated as before |
