Show Burglary at Holier Last Saturday night or early Sunday morning thieves broke into the Coop store at Charleston and made a raid on the goods The robbery was not discovered dis-covered until Sunday evening The thief forced an entrance through a back window He took the precau tion to secure a stout club from the shed behind the store presumably for the purpose of protecting himself incase in-case he should be discovered The articles taken were clothing jewelry jew-elry bitters cigars ammunition boots hats pocket knives soap handkerchiefs handker-chiefs notions etc The money drawer draw-er was broken into and the contents about 8 or 9 taken The loss will amount to about 100 possibly more This is not the first time that this store has been entered by thieves but we hope it will be the last for some time as it probably will be for the of ficers have taken a hand in the mat ter and will make a thorough investigation Investi-gation Attorney Buys and Sheriff Fraughton were in Charleston yester day on business connected with the case We hope to report next week that the thief is caught and caged Wasatch Wave |
