Show The Unitarian Reception I A reception was given at the home 4 of Mrs H P Mason by the ladies of I the Unitarian society yesterday afternoon after-noon from 2 oclock t 5 At least eeventyfive ladies and gentlemen were present and were charmingly entertained I enter-tained by a semihumorous address from Dr Utter which wa in his happiest hap-piest vein a duet from one of De Kov ens operas by r Pickard and Mrs V Green a solo Bend of the River by Blumenthal by M Silva a solo i Past and Future by Mrs Pickard solo Cowans I was a Dream by Mr Joshua Carlisle solo Come DaI tnl Come bY Richardson Mrs Green trio Slumber Song by Mr Greet Gree-t r Pickard anu Mr Carlisle The fact that Mr Robinson had a severe cold and was consequently unable t sing was much regretted but the remainder re-mainder of the quartette did nobly and with the assistance of Mrs Silva made I I the programme a thorough success progmme The reception committee consisted of Mesdames Mason Utter and Almy and t the refreshments were served by Irs I i Mason assisted by Mrs Sheu and others The reception was a decided financial I success |
