Show CHARGED WITH FORGERY Young Aldrich Arrested and Taken Before Be-fore Justice Gee On Monday night a young man named Aldrich went to Dunfords shoe store and purchased a pair of 6 shoes tendering in payment therefor a check for S25 drawn on the National Bank of the Republic and signed C W Aldrich Mr Dyer the salesman had done business with young Aldrich before and not suspecting sus-pecting that anything was wrong accepted ac-cepted the check and gave his customer the balance in cash When the check was presented at the bank on Tuesday it was pronounced a forgery and a complaint com-plaint against young Aldrich was sworn to later in the day The matter was i turned over to Deputy Sheriff Lacon who succeeded in running the forger down I yesterday morning In the afternoon the defendant wns arraigned in the police court Aldrich entered a plea of not guilty and the hearing was set for today his bond being fixed at 500 This is not the first time Aldrich has been arrested for forgery and he is familiar fa-miliar with prison life Julia LaMar and Emma DeVulo charged with prostitution forfeited 5 each Joe Harkin was assessed 5 for drunkenness drunk-enness Mrs M Williams a Welch woman 60 years of age was arrested yesterday for drunkenness and disorderly conduct |
