| Show IOWANS ENJOY THEMSELVES The Iowa Association Gives an Informal Reception Re-ception The Utah commssion building was bril liantly lighted yesterday evening the occasion occa-sion being the informal reception given by the Iowa association to all former residents of the Hawkoye state Over two hundred people were present and enjoyed a moot pleasant evening Of the above number sixty of the guests were native born L Iowans the oldest of wnich has seen forty six summers and Colonel Sells was the I veteran Iowa man An elegant lunch was served during the evening and it was rumored that it was strictly prohibition but a little bird no ticed that when Mr Mayno called for water and gave the pass word the water was turned into wine The object of the reception was to pro mote a friendly feeling among Iowa people and to givo them an opportunity to become better acquainted with each other The general expression was Where are you from l Tho association will give a banquet within a few weeks which promises to be a magnificent affair The guests remained until after 1 oclock and all heartily en joyed the reception the only regret being that the organization had not been per I fected long ere this The officers of the society are Judge Loofborrow president C H Parsons secretary and Hoyt Sher man treasurer |
