| Show I Rawlins Closing Argument J L Rawlins made the closing argument argu-ment in the contested election case of Ferguson vs Allen before Judge Anderson yesterday morning Mr Rawlins reviewed all the evidence in the case at great length and made a strong logical argument in support sup-port of the proposition that Mr Ferguson was fairly entitled to the office in contest if the will of the majority of the qualified voters could elect him The evidence adduced ad-duced by the defense simply strengthened the position of the plaintiff aud his evidence evi-dence was in no way contradicted The l countercontest of the defendant amounted to nothing but one by one the allegations made fuded away into air Mr Rawlins made a masterly argument upon the legal phases of the case and cited many authorities in support of the position taken by him in regard to the fraudulent votes cast at Bingham Bing-ham and the legal votes rejected at South Cottonwood At the conclusion of the argument Judge Anderson announced that he would deliver his opinion this morning |
