Mr Peabody on the Outlook NEW YOm Nov nMr Peabody of Kidder Peabody Co said this evening While prudent business men were not apprehensive ap-prehensive I cannot see otherwise than that I commercial trade in general in the United I States is on a sound basis There is no great pension and no large overspecula tion in the country and the community asa as-a whole is not overinvested Europe has sent us an enormous amount of money for breweries and other under takings but we have the money and Europe h as the properties I dont see why it should be any great concern of the people here whether English people or English underwriters under-writers hold these shares Whatever may be their intrinsic value they ca nnot sell them now and they cannot send them here and get their money back Tho resources of England are enormous and we have little conception of the amount of money that will be paid out after January 1 upon English capital which will be available for reinvestment I think you will find London will be able to right itself and in the end there will be t wi large investment Demand abroad for sound American securities
