Show Completes Tour With BYU Group Amy Baer of Bountiful, a freshman at Brigham Young University, has just completed complet-ed a ten-day performing tour in New Mexico and northern Texas with the BYU Young Ambassadors. THE mid-semester tour included performances at Amanita, Texas, and at Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Roswell, Clovis, Artesia and Carlsbad, N.M. While at Carlsbad, they toured the world-famous caverns. The all-student cast present a lively 90-mimite music and dance variety show which has drawn positive acclaim. During Dur-ing the past several years, the Young Ambassadors have traveled widely with tours to Latin America, Europe, and across the United States. NEXT summer the troupe will present its show on a six-week tour of the U.S. and Canada. Miss Baer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baer, is a dancer and singer in her first year with the troupe. She is a 1977 graduate of Viewmont View-mont High School, where competed at state for vocal groups, was a soloist in the Utah All-State Choir, and held leads in musicals. At BYU she is on the dean's scholarship list. |
