Show Rites Held For Lydia M. Durham Funeral services were held on May 3 for Lydia Mueller Durham. MRS. DURHAM, 73, of 460 East 900 North, Bountiful, died April 29, 1976 of cancer. She was born in Stammheim, Germany on March 30. 1903 to Bernhardt and Wiihelmine Burkle Mueller. Married John Goetz, April 7, 1928, divorced; married Eugene R. Durham, June 21, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nev. ; later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. He died July 13, 1969. SHE GREW up in Switzerland, Swit-zerland, came to Farmington, Utah in 1951, lived in Van-Nuys, Van-Nuys, Calif., 1952; Sunset, Utah, 1953; and lived in Bountiful since 1954. She was active in Relief Society as a teacher and a member of the Bountiful 24th Ward. Survivors include one son, Hans Peter Goetz of Switzerland; Swit-zerland; three daughters, Mrs. Dean (Lydia) H. Hirschi, Bountiful; Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Hirschi. Van Nuys, Calif.; Mrs. Donald (Hannah) Wright, Kaysville; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. ALSO TWO brothers. Adolph and Ernest Mueller, both of Switzerland; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Husser and Mrs. Mina Schatz, both o Switzerland; Mrs. Arthur (Lousia) Amdt, Germany. Services were held at the Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary Mor-tuary with Bishop DuWayne G. Squire of the Bountiful 24th Ward officiating. FAMILY prayer was by Don Wright; prelude and postlude music, Gracie Jensen; Jen-sen; invocation, Julian R. Durham; musical selection "O My Father" by President Harold C. Yancey accompanied accom-panied by Ruth O. Yancey; speakers, Richard Durham and Charles Miller. A trio consisting of Lora Ford, Jolaine Randall and Helen Squire sang "Abide With Me tis Eventide" accompanied ac-companied by Gracie Jensen; speakers, Bishop Dean W. Chipman and DuWayne G Squires; piano solo "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven, by Robin Furse; benediction, Richard Hirschi. DEDICATION of the grave was by Dean Hirschi with interment in-terment in Bountiful Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Dean Hirschi Jr., Jon Hirschi, Dan Hirschi, Ralph Chipman, Stephen Chipman, Peter Wright, Lanny Cottrell, Glen Miller and Marlin Furse. THE Bountiful 24th Ward Relief Society cared Jor the flowers. |
