Show Miss Jennie Wadsworth And Marion Bowler United In Marriage Here Wednesday The home of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Wadsworth was the scene Wednesday Wed-nesday evening of the marriage of their daughter, Jennie, to Marion Bowler, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Bowler of Gunlock. The garden ceremony took place at 8 p.m. in the presence of approximately ap-proximately 100 family members and specially invited guests, with F. J. Bowler, father of the groom officiating. Manomas L. Andrus, 98 year old grandmother of the bride, was among those present. The bride was beautiful in her wedding gown of sheer white taffeta taf-feta with a finger length veil of crisp chiffon and a regal train. She carried an old fashioned nosegay nose-gay of garden blossoms, and was attended by her intimate girl friends including Mrs. Phil Spencer, Spen-cer, Mrs. Reid Leigh, Mrs. Grant Whitehead, Mrs. George Jay, Mrs. Ray Thompson, Mrs. Pearl Smith, Mrs. Wayne Whitehead and Miss Nelda Cornelius. Following the ceremony, the guests were served the wedding dinner buffet style, after which a program of music and singing furnished entertainment. The couple left following the reception for a honeymoon to New Mexico and then up the Pacific coast. The bride has been honored at several events during the past ten days including dinners, evening parties and luncheons. A shower was given in her honor last Friday Fri-day evening at the home of Mrs. Reid Leigh. An elaborate trousseau tea brought nearly . 200 friends and relatives to the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. R. M. Reber, Sunday, April 28, between 3 and 7 p.m. Guests were welcomed by Mrs. Reber, who wore a charming model in blue lace over taffeta. Mrs. N. J. Wadsworth, the bride's mother wore a tailored model in blue silk. The rooms were bright with cut flowers, and centering the mirored mantel was the three-tiered three-tiered wedding cake. A large bowl of pink roses graced the serving table. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Wayne Whitehead, Mrs. George Jay, Mrs. Ray Thompson, Mrs. Pearl Smith, Mrs. Grant Whitehead and Miss Nelda Cornelius. Attending guests in viewing the trousseau were Mrs. Phil Spencer in the silver and glassware room; Miss Toni Watson in the quilt and linen room; Mrs. Reid Leigh in the shower gift room and the bride presided in the room containing con-taining her wardrobe display. The groom is an employee of the Southern Utah Power company com-pany at one of their plants, and the bride has been employed for the past three years in the Farm Security office. |
