Show Charles E. Knell Dies At Home of Son In Pintura PINTO, Utah. Charles E. Knell of Pinto, 82, died here at the home of his son, Herbert Wednesday, May 26. His death came suddenly, he had spent Sunday at Enterprise attending conference and part of the next day with his daughter, Mrs. William Lund. Returning to Pinto on Monday, he seemed in his usual good health on Wednesday Wednes-day until a few hours of his death. Death came suddenly and he apparently appar-ently died without a struggle. He was alone at the time of his death since his son, Herbert, with whom he lived, had gone to Cedar City to receive medical attention for a sick boy intending to return that night. Mr. Knell was born in Salt Lake City May 8, 1855. He was the son of Benjamine and Ann G. Knell who moved to Pinto while he was a young man. He married Marie Westover in 1875. Eight children were born to this union, five of whom sruvive. Mrs. Knell preceded him in death, having died in 1902. In 1904 he married Hulda Pierce of Washington. Wash-ington. One child was born to them. Mr. Knell was quiet and unassuming unas-suming but friendly, say those who knew him, and good to everyone. A hard worker and always ready and willing to serve when called upon by those in need or by authority. au-thority. He is survived by the following children Mrs. Joseph Eldridge, Salt Lake; Mrs. Alice Lund, Enterprise; En-terprise; Herbert Knell, Pinto; Mrs. Joseph Foster, Cedar City; Mrs. Walter Gale, Elko, Nevada; and Mrs. Bryant Beecham, New Castle. He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchilden and eighteen great grandchildren. |
