Show Former Vernal resident dies Francis L. Swett, 63, of Bremerton, Wash., formerly of Vernal, died March 29, 1983 from complications of cancer. He was born Oct. 29, 1919 in Vernal. He entered the National Guard in 1940 and served in the army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He moved to Washington in the 1950s. He worked in the shipyards and was custodian of Bremerton High School. He retired in 1981. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and two daughters, Sharell Lee and Gail Swett, both of Bremerton; three sons, Lance Tromlic of southern California, George Bryan of Bremerton and Mike Bryan of Port Orchard, Wash. He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Carrol Yeckel of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, George and Wayne Swett, both of Vernal; Ver-nal; two sisters, Elva Douglas of Jensen and Edna Mosness of Fort Collings, Colo, and by eight grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, March 30 in Bremerton. |
