Show S - v t ' DAVID LEAVITT service held. Rangley youth interred here Last rites honoring David Lowell Leavitt were held September 7, 1979, in the Rangely Ward LDS Chapel. Bishop Don O. Rooks conducted. Family prayer was by Lowell Leavitt with prelude and postlude music by Jean Murray. Invocation was by President Earl Schmid with remarks by Bishop Rooks. "In the Garden" was sung by Jean Murray and Mary Cook followed by President James L. Dunn as speaker. The closing musical, "I Am a Child of God," was by Dawn Wardell. Rex Allred offered the benediction. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Pallbearers were Kevin Dotson, Dwight Abplanalp, Charlie Cady, Ricky Massey, Brad Hayden and John Lollar. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Blane, Ricky Robbins and Vincent Wilezek. The Vernal Mortuary was in charge of the floral tributes. David Lowell Leavitt, 16 died near the McLaughlin Camp Rangely, Colorado September 3, 1979. He was born June 24, 1963 in Vernal to Lowell S! Leavitt and Carol Eubanks Leavitt. He was a student at Rangely High School and worked for B.C. Well Service; member of the LDS Church, Rangely Ward; honor student; member of the Honor Society; participated in all school activities; Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood and was assistant president of the Priest Quorum. Survivors parents, one sister, Diane ..I i Leavitt all of Rangely; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs John Clark, Vernal; Helen Childres, South Carolina. One sister and one brother preceded him in death. |
