(Brewer Co Photo) Double Ring Ceremonies Unite Couple in Marriaqe Auq. 28 A reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Lynn Walterscheid was held September 8, 1973 at the home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Walterscheid. Walter-scheid. A double ring ceremony August 2S, at the Navajo Methodist Mission Chapel united the couple in marriage. The bride is the former Margaret Esther Coy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kenneth Reeves of Aztec, New Mexico. The bride wore a gown of white Italian brocade lace over pink satin, featuring fea-turing a high neckline and long full sleeves. Awhile ruffle marked the hemline. hem-line. The fashion w as designed de-signed and handmade by Denise Labell of Schenectady, Sche-nectady, N.V. Roses accented ac-cented her white garden hat. As guests arrived they were greeted by Cindy Walterscheid with Kenny and Paul Reeves, brothers broth-ers of the bride, accepting accept-ing gifts and arranging the gift table. In the receiving re-ceiving line were the bride and bridegroom as well as Mr. and Mrs. Walterscheid and Mr. and Mrs. Reeves. The guest register table ta-ble was small, covered with a white linen table cloth. Decorations included in-cluded a basket of laven-dar laven-dar gladiola and purple asters. Dianna Walterscheid Walter-scheid presided. The long refreshment table was covered with a whito table cloth tied with pink ribbon and decorated dec-orated with pink bells. It featured silver service for coffee, almonds, mixed nuts and mints. Tray decorations were done by the bridegroom's mother. Fruit punch was served in a crystal bowl with matching cups. The bride's cake was three tiered with white icing accented by pale pink and lavendar rosebuds, topped by a heart shaped arrangement of three bells encircled with flowers. flow-ers. The cake sat atop a lighted deep purple fountain with continuously continuous-ly flowing water. Can-dleholders Can-dleholders and long white candles on each side of the cake completed the table decorations. Serving Serv-ing guests were Blanche Donoghue, Jody Hayes, Dorothy Markle and Shannon Wiggins. All wore pantsuits and corsages cor-sages of a single pink rose tied with purple ribbon. rib-bon. Guests were served individual cake squares with pink or lavendar rosebuds from large crystal trays at tables for four covered with white linen table cloths. Table decorations included in-cluded floating candles in large crystal brandy snifters. The reception was held on the patio which was decorated with large hanging white bells, large white pillars topped top-ped with a floral arrangement arrange-ment of candles. The lawn was arranged with small tables and lighted by burning torches of bright pink flame and two of the tables held candleabra gifts to his mother and wife from the bridegroom. bride-groom. The mothers of the couple wore sweetheart rose corsages while the fathers, wore purple aster as-ter boutonnieres. To the jacket of the bridegroom's bride-groom's coat was pinned a pink rose boutonniere. The bride's son, Richie Coy, wore a lavendar mum. Three roses in a white vase, a gift to the mother of the bridegroom bride-groom from he and his family, completed the floral arrangements. Mrs. Larry Rhodes, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her colonial co-lonial style gown of pale pink was trimmed with white cuffs and collar. A sash caught the Empire waistline, typing at the back. Bridesmaids were sisters of the bridegroom, bride-groom, Cindy Walterscheid Walter-scheid and Dianna Walterscheid. Wal-terscheid. Their gowns of deep purple matched that worn by the matron of honor. The evening was highlighted high-lighted by the arrival of long-time friend, Robin Donoghue, who arrived as guests were leaving, from California. In honor of the occassion, a short party was held and champagne cham-pagne was toasted. |
