Warner Newlyweds Honored At Lovely Reception Miss Betty Roylance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Roylance of this city, and Blair E. Warner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hansen of Spanish Fork, exchanged mar- riage vows in a ceremony per- formed Friday, July 11, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Sum-sion, Sum-sion, aunt and uncle of the bride. The double ring ceremony was performed by Bishop Glen Chris-tensen Chris-tensen of the .Fourth ward, in the early evening and was witnessed by close relatives and friends. Following phe cel-emony, the bride and groom were honored with a lovely wedding reception in the Fourth ward church, where many friends and well-wishers called to congratulate the newlyweds. The wedding party stood before a beautiful background of floral decorations. At each side of the receiving line, were large bouquets of gladiolus, with tall white tapers lighted, in the background. The bride appeared in a gown of pure white slipper satin, fashioned fash-ioned with a sweetheart neckline and long gloves. Her veil of silk net fell from a tiara of seed pearls and she carried a white brocaded satin muff on which was arranged a single orchid and a shower of white satin ribbon. Attendants to the - bride wore pastel-colored gowns and each carried car-ried bouquets of summer chrysanthemums chrysan-themums and gardenias. Mrs. Samuel Sam-uel Sperry of Nephi, sister of the bride, was chosen as matron of honor, with Mrs. Earl Neil as attending at-tending matron. Miss Ila Sund-bloom, Sund-bloom, Mrs. Theo Haws, Mrs. Ed Anderson and Miss Lela Rae Thorpe were bridesmaids. Little Karen Roylance and Miss Pamila Warner were flower girls. Sherman Sher-man Bjarnson of Spanish Fork, was best man. Also in the' reception line were the bride's and the groom's parents. par-ents. Both mothers were attired in black formals with corsages of gardenias and red rosebuds. An entertaining program was conducted during the evening, under un-der direction of Grant Thorn, master mas-ter of ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haymond received re-ceived the guests at the door. Mrs. Bertha Stewart, Miss Evelyn Reed and Miss Lois Thorn were in charge of the gift room. Mrs. Maurine Startup was in charge of the serving, while Barbara Bar-bara Kelly, Lorna Condie and La Wana Taylor assisted. Joan Alleman, Kay Kendall and Blanch Gardner of Spanish Fork and Marilyn Brown of Provo assisted assist-ed with the gifts. They were dressed in formals. The newly-wedded couple left shortly after the reception on a few days' trip. They will reside in Spanish Fork. |
