The young couple are making their home in Logan and plan to continue their studies. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman W. Rothwell Lyman Rothwell Takes Logan Bride Lovely Roberta Lorraine Paul, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Paul of Logan, became the bride of Lyman W. Rothwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Rothwell of this city, on March 16, in a late after- jmoon candlelight ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. The impressive rites were performed per-formed by Bishop Joseph N. Sy-monsj Sy-monsj a close friend of the family. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ice-blue ice-blue satin faille and her only ornament orn-ament was a single string of pearls. She carried a brides' bouquet bou-quet of white roses centered with a large orchid and tied with satin streamers in lover's knots. Miss Udean Larsen was her only attendant. She was gowned in a pink chiffon formal and carried a nosegay of pastel colored blooms Mothers of the bride and groom wore corsages of white carnations and iris. Performing duties as best man was Don Frandsen of Springville, alsoa student at the U. S. A C, close friend of the bridegroom. The Sigma Nu and Theta Up-silon Up-silon colors were carried out in decorations of white roses and purple iris with tall burning tapers and palms arranged about the rooms. Immediately after, the wedding ceremony, a light lunch was served relatives and close friends attending. attend-ing. In the evening, the newlyweds were honored at a reception given at the Theta Upsilon Sorority House. Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Don Frandsen of Springville, who received the guests. In the serving room were Miss Ethel Valgardsen, Mrs. Raymond Pyne, sister of the bride, Mrs. Fred Schultz and Mrs. Cecil Maynard, sisters of the groom. Mrs. Thomas Mathews, sister of the bride, Mrs. Dewey Anderson, sister of the bridegroom. Mrs. Ken Rothwell and Mrs. Ted Rothwell and Miss Elaine Lagos. During the evening, the young couple was serenaded by the Sigma Sig-ma Nu Fraternity and the Theta U. Sorority. Vocal selections were given by Coleen Allen and Thomas Roirdon. Miss Allen sang, "Day By Day" and "Wonderful One", and Mr. Roirdon sang, "But Beautiful" Beau-tiful" and "Always." The new Mr. and Mrs. Rothwell spent their honeymoon in Utah's southern parks and in Nevada. Mrs. Rothwell graduated from the Logan high school and served in the U. S. Marines (WR) during dur-ing the war. Later she attended the U. S. A. C. taking active part in campus afairs and serving as president of Theta Uosilon, national nation-al sorority. She will receive her B. S. degree at graduation this spring. Mr. Rothwell graduated from the Springville high school, where he served as student bodv president presi-dent in his senior year. He later attended the Brigham Young University before serving two and |
