Park Ward Chanel Salt Lake City, for Claude George Salisbury, 67, prominent Utah banker and businessman and a former long-time resident of Springville. He died unexpectedly unexpec-tedly of an apparent heart attack at-tack early Sunday, May 28, 1967, in his motel room at Jackson, Wyoming, where he had gone on business. Friends called on the family at Wheeler Mortuary . Tuesday evening and Wednesday at the chapel in Salt Lake City before the services. Burial was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Mrs. Salisbury, a resident of Salt Lake City for ' approximately approxi-mately 20 years, died sometime some-time during the night, according to Fay Packard, business associate as-sociate who was occupying an adjoining room. Mr. Packard said Mr. Salisbury complained of feeling tired on the journey to Jackson, but had supper and seemed alright. The next morning morn-ing when he didn't arise at his usual time, Mr. Packard investigated inves-tigated and found him as he had collapsed apparently trying try-ing to get out of bed. Mr. Salisbury was born Feb. 7, 1900 at Mammoth, a son of Frank and Annie Fau'kner Salisbury. Sal-isbury. He married Sarah Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Houtz, Sept: 8, 1920 in (Cont. on back page, col. 2) C. He was a graduate of LDS Business College and was a former member of the Executive Execu-tive Council, American Bankers Bank-ers Association. He was past president of the Utah Bankers Association; former vice president presi-dent and cashier of the Springville Spring-ville Banking Co.; director of the Central Bank and Trust Co.; president of Evans Supply Co.; president of Bonham Corporation and its subsidiaries; subsidiar-ies; secretary-treasurer of Kolob Ko-lob Investment Co.; director of Utah Wholesale Grocery and several other businesses. He was active in the organization and devlopment of many businesses busin-esses in Utah and Canada. He served in the Kolob Stake presidency while in Springville, and was also a stake clerk and a high Driest. Survivors are his widow of Salt Lake City; three sons, Claude J. (Joe) Salisbury of Twin Falls, Idaho; David E. and Paul G. Salisbury both of Salt Lake City. He was pre-ceeded pre-ceeded " in death by a daughter, daugh-ter, Nancy S. Woodward. Also surviving are ten grand- : children and four brothers and sisters, Frank Salisbury and Mrs. F. D. (Donna) Peterson of Salt Lake City; Howard Salisbury of Oakland, Calif.; and Mrs. Jesse (Helen) Whiting Whit-ing of Springville. |
