Show FROBES MOVES UP ' ) ON THE SHORT LINE Av B. Frohcs, who for nearly seven years has been chief clerk in charge of the telegraph department under Mr. Calvin, was, yesterday appointed superintendent super-intendent 'of telegraph on the Oregon Short Line. Mr. Frobes's- appointment is felt to bo woll dcfervcd, and Is a very popular one with all those who-havo who-havo been associated with him in the Short Lino offices. Ho has gained his various promotions by merit alone, having hav-ing started as an operator in 18S6. He first began railroad service in the Union Pacific at Omaha, and has been in Salt Lake twelve years. Mr. Frobes has been in tho t?ervIco of the Short Line fclnce the segregation in 1897, and so has been connected with the road ever since he began, when it was a part of the Union Pacific |
