Show Itlyton Dairyman Elected By Farmers' Union The newly chartered Utah Farmers Union went on record last Friday at their first state convention as favoring state re tention of the junior colleges, approving the construction of Echo Park, and enactment of a net proceeds severence tax to lighten the tax load on real property. National and state objectives of the farm organization were adopted at the first annual convention con-vention of the farm organization in the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City. Other highlights of the session included election of officers and an address by James G. Patton, Denver, president presi-dent of the National Farmers Union. First Officers Take Posts Jesse Tuttle, Castle Dale, was elected president and Elmer Yerg'ensen, Myton, vice-president.
