Show ATTENDED FUNERAL Mr. and Mrs. Art Allen attended the funeral of Mrs. Anna L. Cooper Coop-er at Roosevelt, Friday: Mrs. Cooper Coop-er was a resident of Whiterocks at one time and is an aunt of Mrs. Allen Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wheeler Wheel-er also attended the services. Mrs, Matilda Moosman returned Tuesdav from a two months' visit in Salt Lake. She is visiting this week with her daughter, Mrs. Ora Ellingford. Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Hardy took their children to Vernal, Saturday, Sat-urday, where they received polio shots. There was no Relief Society meeting held Wednesday, as some of the officers were in Salt Lake with sick folks and other were home with sick folks. Mrs. Lynn Hardy and Madeena Smith were in charge of Primary Tuesday', as the regular officers were away with sickness. Mrs. Matilda Moosman received word Saturday that her daughter, Mrs. Erma Sessions of Vernal had been operated on that day at the Vernal Hospital. Mrs, Ora Ellingford held a quilting quilt-ing bee at the church house on Thursday. The Hardy family were Tridell visitors Sunday afternoon. A special' show and food sale were held Wednesday at the church house. The proceeds will go to buy more suits for the Explorer Ex-plorer boys who did not get theirs last week. Those attending Union meeting in Roosevelt Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Blayne Morrill, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith, Bishop Ellingford and Merle Moosman. The Wilmer Parrish family of Ballard visited the Elbert Smiths on Sunday. A picture show was shown to the school children at School on Thursday, and a candy sale was held. Mrs. Viola Horrocks gave her room in school a Valentine party on Valentine's day. She had the children help make the ice cream which they all enjoyed very much. At MIA Tuesday the Explorers gave the program. The rest of the evening was spent playing games. A lunch was served by the officers. |
