Show LeetooJBeiinett Fern Houston Funeral Held For Mrs. Cooper Graveside service was held at the Roosevelt City Cemetery Feb. 17, for Mrs. Anna Cooper, 80, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee Clark in American Amer-ican Fork. Feb. 14. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Cooper homesteaded in Bennett on the place now owned by Clair Haslem. They had three sons and one daughter. After leaving here 'they went to Whiterocks, where Mr. Cooper was employed as the government gov-ernment blacksmith for many years. He' later retired and moved to American FOFk. Mr, Cooper preceded Mrs. Cooper Coop-er in death about 10 years. The Secret Pal party was held at the home of Joyce Bolton where a Valentine theme was carried out in the lunch, decorations and games. Lunch was served, gifts were exchanged with Valentines for all. Mrs. John Haslem attended a baby shower at Montwel, honoring Mrs. Myron Haslem, Friday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hamblin. She reported a very nice party and many of Ruth's friends were there. Charles and Lorraine Bolton attended at-tended the Democratic Rally Saturday Sat-urday night held at the Alterra School house. BREAKS WRIST As Mrs. Clair Haslem stopped out her back door she slipped on some ice and fell, breaking her wrist. Mrs. Nell Horrocks visited Thursday with her sister, in Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Mrs. Grace Labrum. Mrs. Frances Bowen and Keith went to Salt Lake, Monday, for medical attention for Keith. It may be that he will have an operation on his spine' for disc trouble, Mrs. W. H. Coltharp returned from Salt Lake Saturday. She has been there a month, having had an operation for stomack ulcers. She is in very fine' condition now, Mrs. AUen Harrison of May-wood, May-wood, Calif, and Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Harrison of Neola visited with Betty Bolton on Thursday. Mrs. Dick Coltharp is confined to her home, having an abcessed ear.- Mrs. Victor Brown is caring for her son, Nick. Gary Hall is working at the Bradshaw Auto Parts Co. in Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, He' has been working in Salt Lake for a couple of years. WRECKS CAR Darrell Hall was on his way to see his parents and was driving Bill Nelson's car. At the top of the Todd dugway he met two oil tankers. He passed the first one, but was not so fortunate on the other as he pulled too far put and hit a tree. He was not hurt, but the car was badly damaged. |
