Show Golden IVedding Anniversary Observed By Former Basin Couple i ' " . s-o ,, --; - -5 I . ' - K ' ' ' f V By Mrs. Thelma Nye TABIONA (Special) Two well-known former Duchesne residents celebrated their Gold-m Gold-m Wedding anniversary in Salt Lake City on Jan. 7. They are i Henry A. Beckstead and Saran Mabel Bowlden Beckstead, 163 West 1st North, who were married mar-ried in the Salt Lake Temple fifty years ago. They resided in Peoa. Utah, the first few years of their marriage, mar-riage, moving to Talmaee, Du-ihesne Du-ihesne county, in 1914, whero they assisted with the development develop-ment of that vicinity for twenty years. In 1934, they bought a farm in Bridgeland, Duchesne county, and lived there until 1947. when they moved to Salt Lake City, where Mr. Beckstead was employed for some time by the Salt Lake Tribune, until his retirement from active labor. Mr. and Mrs. Beckstead are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day , . w .,-..- , ! P I Saints,- and Mrs. Beckstead is still serving as work director in the Relief Society of the Seventeenth Seven-teenth Ward in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Beckstead also worked in the Stake Mutual Improvement Association for many vears, while they resided in Talmage. Mr. Beckstead is active in his priesthood quorum and for many years was superintendent of the Sunday School. They will be honored at a family party Sunday at their home in Salt Lake City, with all their children expected to be present. They are parents of six sons and daughters, have family includes Rulon Beckstead, Beck-stead, Fontana, Calif.; Mrs. Joseph Jos-eph (Norma) Josie, Tabiona; La-ron La-ron Beckstead, Talmage; Mrs. Leah LeFevre, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Walter (Rella) LeFevre, Tabiona; Mrs. Vance (Leone) Larsen, Provo. One pair of twins are included among the grandchildren, grand-children, the infant sons of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jones, Tabiona. |
