Show Wedding Bells Ring For Former Resident In a beautiful home ceremony Miss Marie McDonald and Ray Sweatfield were united in marriage mar-riage on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 8:00 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs Av-en Av-en McDonald, of Heber City, formerly for-merly of Roosevelt, with Bishop Burgener of the Center Creek ward officiating at the ceremony. The groom is the son of the late I Gus Sweatfield and Mrs. Lois Sweatfield of Park City. The bride was attired in the traditional white satin and lace and her fingertip veil was of bride's illusion and nylon lace and was fastened to a tiara of pearls. Her bride's bouquet was of white carnations centered with pink rosebuds. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Joyce Jacobs, as matron of honor. Best man duties were performed by Melvin Sweatfield, brother of the groom. Following the ceremony the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception and program, after which they left for a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. One of the pre-nuptial events honoring the bride-elect was a tea on Nov. 16, given at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Leo Hatch, with, her mother, Mrs. Aven McDonald,1 as co-hostess. About 75 guests called. Marie's grandmothers, Mrs. Grace McDonald of Roosevelt and Mrs. Rula Feldstead of Heber City, were both in attendance, as well as the groom's mother. |
