Show EIGHTH BIRTHDAY BRINGS A PARTY Twelve . little girl friends of Bonnie Eksund were transported transport-ed to Fairyland last Saturday when they attended a party celebrating her eighth birthday. Fairy wands, balloons, fairy tales and dainty refreshments made the afternoon a happy one for VeLoy Leavitt, Judy Cox-i Kathy Gardner, Karen Peterson, Peter-son, Paula Hoopes, Linda Peterson, Pet-erson, Toni Hoopes, Joyce Larsen, Lar-sen, Melody Riggle, Morlene Hoopes, Evelyn Hoopes, Alena Wilkerson. Being welcomed at the Neill Jensen home by her big two-year-old sister, is a young lady who announced her arrival last Friday at the Roosevelt Hospital. Hospit-al. Another special member of the welcoming committee was great-grandmother Martina Jensen, Jen-sen, who shares the same birth date, May 14th, with the little girl. Mr. and Mrs. James Mecharn, of Orem, . visited with friends and relatives here last week. Busy moving to their new home are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Phillips and son, who have purchased pur-chased the home of Jay Larsen, Jr. Given Release Lawrence Malnar, who recently recent-ly received his release from Uncle Sam's employ, is. greeting-old greeting-old friends and settling down to the leisurely life of a,farm- er. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malnar, are enjoying his company after an absence of more than two years, a great part of it being spent in Japan. The already attractive home of Mr. and Mrs. LaZell Henrie is being further beautified by a new paint job. Many friends of the Byron Kimball family attended the reception of their son, Buddy which was held in Roosevelt last Wednesday evening, The Mia Maids and their mothers attended a stake-wide "Chastity Night" which was held in Roosevelt last Tuesday evening. They were accompanied accompan-ied , by their teacher, Dorothy Luck. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ferguson (Carol Crozier) and son, of Orem, Or-em, were recent guests at the William Crozier home. Among those holding lucky tickets at the annual Farmers' Co-op meeting, which was held in Roosevelt last Thursday evening, eve-ning, were Phyllis Wardle and Esther Halverson. Mrs. Wardle received a case of oil and Mrs. Halverson a sack of cereal. Stake visitors at Sunday School included Lawrell Jensen, Jen-sen, Ned Gines and Garth Tiet-jen. Tiet-jen. Teachers and students of the local school spent , last Friday up the Uintah Canyon. Mrs. Mary Crozier, who has been visiting her grandson, Francis Crozier, and his family fam-ily in Tridell, returned recently to the home of her son, Charles, to lend a helping hand in the care of his new daughter. Mrs. Corwin Labrum and small son, of Currant Creek, spent a few days here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gardner. , |
