Show Improvements Set For '56 UBIC; Progress Is Eloted A concrete slab is to be layed in the city park for this year's annual Uintah Basin Industrial Convention, announced Fran Harrison, Har-rison, vice-president, at the UBIC committee meeting Fri, July 13. The concrete will be 40 by 60 feet and will be poured between the UBIC stand and the tennis court. A fence will be placed at the south end this year, and next year the slab will be extended at the north end and the fencing will be completed. Cheryl Brown, Miss Utah of 1955-56 will arrive in Roosevelt Wednesday night and be in the parade. Thursday afternoon the teenage .girl's and women's departments depart-ments will meet jointly and Miss Brown will model the clothes she took to the Miss Universe Contest. Con-test. Miss Ruth Tolman of Powers Charm School in Salt Lake City i will be guest speaker at this same J session. She will give pointers on personality, poise and charm. |
