Show ' Ashdown, Stransky recite nuptial vows ding dinner was served at the 9th ward for family and friends by the bridegroom's family. After honeymooning in Southern Calif, for a week, the newly weds returned to Cedar where both are students at SUSC. Mr. Stransky will graduate in May. Pre-nuptial courtesies included in-cluded a personal shower given by Gaye Thurston and Shanna Jensen, and a Tupperware Shower given by Corrine Paddock. Rites solemnized in the Manti Temple January 3 united Miss Arlene Ashdown and George I Arthur Stransky Jr. in marriage, i Parents of the young Cedar City couple are Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Ashdown and Mr. and , Mrs. George A. Straasky. At the reception Jan. 4 in the ! 9th Ward Cultural Hall the bride was radiant in a gown of satin and lace. Her floor length veil of bridal illusion trimmed with lace completed her original ensemble. en-semble. She carried a bouquet of red and pink roses. Maid of honor was Miss Corrine Paddock and the bridesmaids were her sisters, Deb, Susan, Marilyn, Karen and Lenore. They wore long red dresses and held a pink rose bud. Sharing honors ns best man were Allen Ratty and Jim Mosley while the ushering was done by Paul Ashdown, Richard Clary, and Winston and Roger Seegmiller. The mothers of the bridal pair wore long pink dresses with red rose corsages.
