DECKER Rodney Decker claims Miss Lea Bunker as bride in St. George Temple wedding Rodney D. Decker claimed Miss Lea Bunker as his bride In rites solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple, December 29, 1970. President Theron Ashcroft officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison E. Bunker of Delta, and the bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow N. Decker of Parowan. The newlyweds were feted at a reception in the SUSC Family Living Center January : 9. The bride wore a long sleeved sleev-ed white velvet dress with a pink rose and a strand of pearls for that look of simple ' elegence. Her sister, Mrs. Frank (Jo Ann) Baker, Mrs. Larry (Ethyl)) (Eth-yl)) Bannon, and Reena Dreon were the bridal attendants.! They wore ' light blue velvet; dresses with a single white rose and a single strand of Dearls were Steven Decker, Shelly Baker and Ricky Bannon brother, niece and nephew of the bridal couple. The bride chose a navy blue pant suit for her going away costume, and they spent a week honeymooning in Las Vegas and Southern California The bride graduated from the Delta Schools and attended attend-ed SUSC. She is presently employed em-ployed as a secretary at SUSC. The bridegroom is a graduate gradu-ate of Parowan High, SUSC and Utah State. He also attended at-tended the University of Missouri. Mis-souri. He is presently employed employ-ed as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at SUSC. Pre-nuptial courtisies included in-cluded a personal shower given giv-en for the bride at the home of the bridegroom's mother Mrs. Vera .Decker In Parowan. Co-hosting the event were his sisters, Joan and Sherlene Decker and Mrs. Sandra Benson. Wayne Decker and Kendall Hinton shared the honor as best man. Mrs. Bunker wore a light peach dress and Mrs. Decker wore a light blue dress. Both had white camellia corsages. Miss Joan Decker, sister of the bridegroom, presided at the guest book while two other oth-er sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Sandra) Benson and Miss Sharlene Decker opened and arranged the gifts. Refreshments were served by Misses Jolene Stubbs, Michelle Decker and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Corry. The gift bearers |
