Russell Tyre of Linden, Ala. announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Kay, to Don E. Whatcott, What-cott, son of Pres. and Mrs. A. E. Whatcott of Cedar City. Miss Tyre graduated from Linden High School, after which she spent time in Europe Eur-ope studying comparative governments. gov-ernments. The bridegroom -elect is a graduate of Cedar City High School and he has attended College of Southern Utah. He is a member of the Utah National Na-tional Guard and fulfilled his active duty at Fort Ord, Calif. He served an LDS mission in Southwest England and Wales. Both are currently attending Brigham Young University. A late June wedding is planned.
