CONDIE 1 Hurricane Girl, Cedar City Man Exchange Marriage Vows in St. George Temple Rites Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Chamberlain Cham-berlain of Hurricane announced the marriage of their daughter, Val Rae Chamberlain, to Victor L. Condie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Condie of Cedar City. Tho double-ring ceremony took place in the St. George LDS Temple Tem-ple Saturday, December 7, after which the couple loft for a honeymoon hon-eymoon trip to California. One week later, December 14, the young couple were honored at a reception which was held In the Hurricane Elementary School. Mrs. Condie wore a white Sown of lace over taffeta, an original or-iginal design by the bride and Mrs. Lorin Condie. She carried a bridal bouquet styled from a white orchid and red carnations which was harmonious with a Christmas theme of red and white. Dressed in yuletide attire were the brides attendants, Miss Cathy toundy, Miss Linda Condie, Miss Vickey Campbell and Mrs. Mad-Uene Mad-Uene Nielson. Duties of the best man were performed by a cousin of the Sroom, Roger Condie. Gift car-iers car-iers were Iris Condie, Marilyn Chamberlain and David Chamberlain. Cham-berlain. Also In the wedding line I were parents of the couple. The bridegrooms mother wore a gold woolen outfit with a red carna-' carna-' tion corsage. Mother of the bride dressed In a gold brocaded satin dress adorned with red carnations. Kitchen hostess during the re-ccDtion re-ccDtion was Mrs. Marzell Covington. Coving-ton. Gift room attendants were Mrs. Louise Jepson, Mrs. Venice Stratton. Mrs. Allie Wilson and Mrs. Berniece Black. At the guest book during tne nupital affair was Miss Anna Marie Hoyt. Serving Ser-ving girls were former 4-H students stu-dents of the bride including Louise Lou-ise Sanders, Becky Stratton Ilene Hawkins, Vera Jean Herschl, Vic-ki Vic-ki Ann Reeve and Lorane Hinton. The guests who called during the reception enjoyed a program preformed by several friends of the newlyweds Including Anna Marie Hoyt who sang, Arlene Hawkins who gave a reading and Bishop Grant Langston who presented pre-sented personal remarks to the bride and bridegroom. Others rendering program numbers were Kathrine Pierson, Jolynn Brown, Sondra Leigh and Mary Lynn Hibler who danced and Val Rae's soroity sisters who sang the sorority soro-rity sweetheart song. Master of ceremonies for the occasion was Clark Campbell and the opening and closing prayers were given by Ron Condie and Bishhop Dale Stout. The new Mrs. Condie is a student stu-dent at the College of Southern Utah. She is enrolled as a Home Ecor omies major and is currently current-ly in her Junior year. Val Rae is a member of the Chi Sigma Up-solin Up-solin sorority. . Mr. Condie is a Cedar High School graduate. He is employed In Cedar City as a brick mason. Prior to her wedding the bride was honored at a personal bridal shower given by her room mates at the Bradshaw house. |
